ABOUT CTBC
More Than a Church.
A Community of Faith.
For over six decades, Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church has been an anchor of faith, family, and service in Hamden and greater New Haven. Founded in 1962 with fifty-four founding members, CTBC has grown into a multigenerational institution that serves as a refuge, a place of celebration, and a training ground for leaders.
Under the leadership of Senior Pastor Rev. Keith A. King since 2004, CTBC continues to expand its reach, locally, nationally, and globally, while remaining rooted in biblical truth and authentic community.

OUR MISSION
How We Live Out Our Faith
Everything we do at CTBC flows from one mission: honoring God by making disciples of all people. We organize that calling around three pillars.
MAKING DISCIPLES
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20
REACH
Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with our surrounding community and beyond through evangelism, invitation, outreach, and visible presence in Hamden and New Haven.
TEACH
Helping believers grow through scripture so they can love God deeply and love their neighbors faithfully through Sunday worship, Bible study, Sunday School, and pastoral discipleship.
SEND
Equipping believers to live out their faith in the world, in their families, vocations, neighborhoods, and globally, representing Christ beyond the walls of our church.
